Blitz, with its million+ users, tasked us with a subtle brand facelift. Our goal was to compile comprehensive brand guidelines and redesign the website to align with these changes.

The Challenge

Blitz contacted our studio with a request to update their platform logo. They wanted to retain the recognizable lightning symbol and text while making them more modern, bold, and eye-catching. However, during the logo redesign process, we realized that the platform had a lot of disparate and poorly recognizable digital promotional materials. To address this, we proposed a complete branding solution, from concept to a 320×50 px banner.

The new identification system includes a standalone webpage where users can download individual assets. Our idea was to position Blitz as the intermediary between the game and player, acting as an independent digital membrane that receives and gives information unilaterally. All branding elements were built using layer overlays to create a cohesive visual identity.

The Twist

When we were working on Blitz’s branding, we stumbled upon a shocking discovery: spreading lightning is the way to go! At first, we used it in the website background to symbolize neural connections that help players react faster, but then we realized it could be used to create some seriously cool illustrations. The best part? We get to keep the metaphor and amp up the visual appeal at the same time.

Our Vision

The development of an identification system provided a clear vision for the site’s overall appearance. The unique color scheme and lightning effects formed the foundation of the site’s identity. The site’s design is intentionally simple, serving as a platform to showcase the main content: visualizations and descriptions of the platform. To achieve the desired effect, we utilized multiple layers to create a cohesive and visually appealing final product.

Exceptional mobile adaptivity

Although 85 percent of the target audience accesses the site from a desktop, mobile adaptation has been made with particular care. No more squinting at tiny screens or struggling to navigate the site on the go. We put in the extra effort to make sure the site’s functionality and design were on point, so you can enjoy a seamless and exciting gaming experience no matter where you are.
